About Chef Eduardo
I started cooking at a very young age, thanks to the influence of my Nanny. My culinary journey began in Xcaret Mexico, where I developed my skills and went on to teach at universities. I've had the honor of representing Mexico at Gastronomic Festivals worldwide, including in China, India, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, and other countries. One of the most enriching experiences was working with kids with Down syndrome in a 2-year cooking program.
In 2019, my family and I moved to Canada, where I started working in Mexican restaurants. Today, I run my own business, The Lord of The Tacos, at Kitchener Farmers Market. I place a strong emphasis on recreating the authentic flavors of Mexico.
Back in Mexico, I hosted TV and radio programs where I shared delicious recipes from various countries and offered cooking tips. I also served as a food and restaurant critic on a TV show called Gastronomy is Culture. Collaborating with a Yucatecan historian and talented Mexican chefs, we authored a series of books featuring the best Mayan recipes. I'm thrilled to be doing what I love most—honoring my country through its food.
